The Exmoor Food Fest is an industry driven annual event which takes place throughout February in participating restaurants across the region.

Stowey Walking, the 'Walkers are Welcome' steering group for Nether Stowey and Over Stowey, will be holding their walking festival in June this summer in and around the Quantock Hills and West Somerset coast. There will be a variety of walks to suit all abilities. Many of the walks will have a theme with local experts leading each walk.

Dunster Show is the premier Agricultural Show in West Somerset and one of the major one day shows of the West of England. Taking place on the lawns below Dunster Castle. Held in August each year.

The annual Brompton Regis Show & Gymkhana dates back many years. On Saturday 14 August 1954, the first Summer Fete was held. The following year, it was decided to organise a pony gymkhana on the same day and it became known as the Brompton Regis Gymkhana and Summer Fete.

The origins of our annual carnival in Bridgwater can be traced back to the Gunpowder Plot of 1605 when Guy Fawkes and his fellow conspirators, failed in their attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament. That story is well known to everyone, but what is not so widely acknowledged is that it was King James 1st and his parliament who decreed that the events of 5 November.
